The Festival features masterworks of the 20th century as well as exciting new works by emerging faculty and student composers from around the country. Performances will be given by the Luna Nova Ensemble and guest artists. Since its founding in 2003 Luna Nova has given 120 concerts in concert halls, colleges, churches and museums around the country and premiered over 100 new works. 2012 Student Composition Contest
In conjunction with the festival The Beethoven Club of Memphis sponsors a student composition contest that is open to academic composers worldwide up to the age of 30. Winners received a performance at Festival and a recording of the work made by members of the Luna Nova Ensemble. The winners of the 2012 contest are:
